It is unsuitable for non-porous surfaces like porcelain, as it has almost no absorbency.

Joint-It Supreme Colour Enhancer is an eco-friendly, effective combined colour enhancer and sealer for natural stone and concrete surfaces, including paving, paths, roof tiles and walls.

Sealing your surfaces stops dirt and contaminants from penetrating the stone, preventing the surface’s weakening and keeping it looking new.

With Joint-It Supreme Colour Enhancer, you get the added benefit of enhancing the natural colour of the stone as well as sealing.

Joint-It Supreme Colour Enhancer penetrates deep into the surface and not so much on the surface. The most important thing is that dirt stays on the surface and not on it. The dirt will never penetrate the stone once Joint-It Supreme Colour Enhancer has been applied, but occasionally you may need to clean the top of the stone. This will be much easier because the surface has been treated.

Sealer coatings, on the other hand, tend only to treat the surface, and as this wears away, the surfaces become porous, accepting dirt and contaminating the stone or concrete. The Supreme colour enhancer won’t do this.

A Note On Efflorescence:

There’s no need to wait for efflorescence to appear once you’ve used Joint-It Supreme Colour Enhancer on your stone. When the water in the sealer pulls the efflorescence out of the stone, brush it off, and there will be no moisture left to activate natural salts and efflorescence.

Joint-It Supreme Colour Enhancer may be used after the jointing procedure is completed. There’s no need to wait weeks or months.

The supreme colour enhancer is entirely breathable so that the stone can dry during and after the application.

Coverage depends on the porosity type and texture of the surface.

All surfaces must be treated to saturation in 1-3 applications to ensure 100% efficacy. This varies with the substrate. However, treating a small hidden area is recommended to calculate accurate consumption.

General Coverage Guideline:

• Architectural concrete 5 metres square per litre
• Block paving 5 to 8 metres square per litre
• Porous natural stones such as limestone, sandstone, and slate are 2 to 5 metres square per litre.
• Low porosity stone such as granite, marble, and terracotta, 8 to 16 metres square per litre

Highly Porous Natural Stone:

We recommend using Joint-It Supreme Colour Enhancer before laying paving where you use slate, black, blue limestone and honed black granite.

These highly porous stones would benefit from being pre-treated to prevent drawing any of the colours of Joint-It Simple into the stone.

Question: When will you be able to walk on the surface?

You can go back onto the surface as soon as the surface is visibly dry. Around 4 hours is the norm in dry conditions.

Joint-It Colour Enhancer is thoroughly water-based and VOC-free formulated using chemically inert materials.

Before Application:

• Remove all surface contamination, and surfaces should be completely dry, clean and free from dust, dirt, oil, efflorescence, organic growth, coatings sealers and old paint films.
• Before using, fill cracks and other imperfections with a spackling compound or similar material. Repairing and filling cracks and other flaws on the surface before use is a good idea.
• Pressure wash up to 2500psi and use of a sterilising solution is advised.

We recommend using Joint-It So Clean to thoroughly clean your surface before applying Joint-It Supreme Colour Enhancer to penetrate the surface’s pores. Dirt and stains need to be removed.

Question: I want to reseal a surface that was sealed several years ago. Can I apply the sealer to the surface?

If you’re unsure if the surface has been treated, pour a steady stream of water onto the surface, and if the water absorbs into the surface, there’s no sealer present, and you can use Joint-It Supreme Colour Enhancer. If the water forms droplets on the surface, the substrate contains a sealer, meaning this must be removed before applying Joint-It Supreme Colour Enhancer.

Limitations and Applications:

• Do not apply in wet, damp conditions or if rain is expected within 4 hours of application.
• Always test a small hidden area before beginning work. Do not dilute this product.
• Using a low-pressure spray, roller or brush, apply the product to the point of saturation. Ensure application is from bottom to top on vertical surfaces. Take care not to let the product run, and as the product starts to soak into the substrate, add a second coat if required.
• Do not allow the product to dry between applications.

The product will start to work immediately but may take up to 7 days to reach 100% efficacy鈥攃lean equipment and tools immediately with water after you have finished.

Joint-It Supreme Colour Enhancer will not work on non-porous surfaces. This product must be absorbed into the substrate to work, and porcelain has almost no absorbency.

Storage keeps in a dry place between 5 degrees C and 30 degrees C in the original container.
