Sika Damp-proofing Slurry is a ready to use just add water, water proofing brushable or trowelable membrane.
Its a high quality thin layer waterproof slurry coating.
Based on special cements and admixtures to provide a water and damp proof finish.
When mixed with water a slurry or mortar material is produced for direct application to a variety of construction substrates.
Sika Damp-proofing Slurry is used for:
Waterproof coating for tanking residential domestic and commercial premises basements and areas with damp issues.
Thin layer mortar or slurry coating lining for internal water-proofing damp-proofing of basement and cellar walls and floors
For interior and exterior damp proofing of basement walls in new buildings.
For interior and exterior waterproofing of concrete, renders, brickwork and blockwork structures, Lining of water tanks, pools, planters etc.

Layer Thickness:
1mm min. 2mm max in 1 coat.
For damp-proofing use minimum 2.0mm thickness
For waterproofing use minimum 4.0mm thickness 2 coats minimum by brush.
Coverage:
Dependent on the substrate roughness, surface profile and thickness of the layer applied.
As a guide, 2.1 kg/m2/mm excluding allowances for loss wastage, surface profile and porosity, etc.
1 unit of 25 kg yields will cover approximately 6.5-7.0m2 @ 2.0mm thickness.
Mixing:
Slurry application by brush: 4.5 4.7 Litres of water per 25 kg bag.
Mortar application by trowel: 4.0 4.25 Litres of water per 25 kg bag.
Spray application: 4.0 4.5 Litres of water per 25 kg bag.
Waiting Time and Over coating:
Apply 2nd coat within 24 hours of first coat.
Notes:
Sika Damp-proofing Slurry does not provide a trafficable finish on floors it will need to be protected with a levelling screed.
Special attention is required to avoid puncturing the waterproof coating with fixings, these should be accommodated either by surface bonding
with Sikaflex EBT adhesive or similar high bond adhesive.
Sika Damp Proofing Slurry will not bond to surfaces that have been treated previously with a water repellent.
Finishing plasters may take longer to set when applied over the Damp-proofing Slurry.
