SikaBond 5500S is a single part combination of synthetic resins contained in organic solvents.

Solvent based rigid adhesive designed forbonding wood block parquet and engineered boards.

Can be used with underfloor heating systems.

Floor can be walked on, sanded or finished approximately 48 to 72 hours after installation.

Suitable for use with traditional parquetblocks, mosaic parquet, industrial parquet and end grained wood pavingon cement, anhydrite and poured asphalt sub floors and bare wood.

Full Surface Bonding:

Traditional parquet blocks and engineered wood floors, mosaic parquet, industrial parquet and end grained wood paving on cement, anhydrite, and asphalt floors.

Can be used over underfloor heating installations.

Mainly used on smoother Floors were little build up of adhesive is required.

Also Very good for bonding down Plywood to existing floors.

Application Details:

For full surface bonding only.

Ensure that the contact faces of the wood elements are fully wetted with adhesive.

Coverage:

0.8 to 1.2 kg per meter square depending upon size of notched trowel used and subfloor surface profile.

For the bonding of long or wide boards or in case of uneven substrates it could be necessary to use a notched trowel with bigger notches avoid hollow sections.

Important Note:

Sikabond 5500s can be used with a slight amount of bitumen residue on concrete floors but the more of this that is removed the better the Adhesion.
