Sikabond PVA+ 5 litre is an economical quick drying adhesive, sealer and bonding agent and cement admixture which has many applications.

Typical Uses:

As a general purpose adhesive for most common building surfaces a primer and sealer which has a wide range of uses.

Sikabond PVA + PVA will bond most common building materials providing one surface is porous.

Suitable for use as a bonding agent and admixture for concrete and plasters.

Suitable for use a surface dust proofer or for use as a internal filler when mixed with shavings or plaster.

Suitable for use as a highly effective easy to use general purpose adhesive for wood, cork, paper, textiles and more.

PVA Plus As a bonding agent:

For cement screeds and render, plaster and concrete.

It will bond cement screeds, rendering and plaster to most sound surfaces

such as concrete, stone and brick and new concrete to old without the need for hacking the surface to form a key.

Application method:

Tools apply using a brush, roller or spreader, and always use clean water.

General bonding:

when used neat PVA will bond most common building materials providing one surface is porous.

Sealing and Priming:

Apply to the clean surface with 1 part pva to 3 to 6 parts water and allow this to dry.

Bonding absorbent surfaces concrete or plaster:

Step 1 – prime the clean surface with 1 part PVA+ to 3 to 6 parts water and allow this to dry.

Step 2 – once primer is dry, apply bonding coat of 1part PVA and 0.5 to 2 parts water, while the bonding coat is still tacky apply plaster / screed.

Sealing non-absorbent surfaces paint or tiles:

Repeat step 1 above, then paint or tiles etc.

May be applied as per manufacturers instructions.

Applying internal patching mortars and screeds:

Always apply cement renders, screeds or plaster whilst the bonding coat is still tacky, if dry re-apply.

For bonding new screeds to old:

Prime clean surface with 1 part PVA+ diluted with 5 parts water and allow to dry, follow step 1 and 2 under bonding absorbent surfaces above.

Recommended for internal use only.

For external application use sikabond sbr+.

Not for load bearing applications.

As a cement admixture add 10l to 15l of sikabond pva+ in place of equivalent amount of gauging water per 50kg cement.
