SikaBond SBR+ is a one component, water based, general purpose, styrene butadiene rubber emulsion.

When diluted with water it produces a gauging solution for improving adhesion, workability and waterproofing of mortars and cementitious mixes.

Sika SBR has numerous uses including as an admixture inmortars, screeds and renders, as a primer or sealer in tilingapplications and a bonding agent for screeds or renders.

Unlike PVA SBR + is not adversely affected in wet conditions and is therefore recommended for exterior use.

Reduces water to cement ratio for equivalentworkability in mortars, making it easier to spread and allows mixes tobe applied in much thinner sections.

It contains anti-foam to control the density of cementitiousmixes.

SBR Uses:

As a water resistant bonding agent for external rendering and screeds

Admixture for concrete repair, brick slip and tile fixing mortars

For improving resistance to abrasion, chemicals and oils

Repair and renovation, surfacing of floors and bondinggenerally.

Approximate Usage:

As a primer on porous surfaces

1 Part SBR to 3 Parts water.

As a bonding agent

1 Part SBR to 1 to 2 Parts portland cement.

As a Mortar Admixture

5 to 7 Litres SBR to 25kg of portland Cement depending on application.
