Sikasil WS605S is a premium silicone sealant used for weather sealing applications where durability under severe conditions is required.

It is particularly suited as a weather seal for structural glazing, curtain walling and windows

WS-605 S is particularly well suited as a weather seal for structural glazing, curtain walling, facades and windows. e.g. for capping structural glazing joints, marine sealing applications.

Sikasil WS605S is a durable, neutral curing silicone sealant with excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates.

• WS-605 S has high movement capability + or – 50%.
• Outstanding UV and weathering resistance.
• Non-streaking on non-porous substrates.
• Adheres well to glass, metals, coated / painted metals, plastics and wood
  
• Suitable for Professional Users.

Application:

• The optimum temperature for substrate and sealant is between 15 deg c and 25 deg c.
  
• Can be applied by hand gun or air power.
• For optimum performance the joint width needs to be designedaccording to the movement capability of the sealant based on the actualexpected movement.
• The minimum joint depth is 6 mm and a width depthratio of minimum 2 to 1 and maximum of 4 to 1.
• Jointsdeeper than 15 mm must be avoided.
• It is recommended to use closed cell foambacker rods.
• If joints aretoo shallow for backing material to be employed, we recommend using apolyethylene tape,
• This acts as a bond breaker allowingthe joint to move and the silicone to stretch freely.
  
• Uncured Sikasil WS-605 S can be removed from tools equipment and surfaces with Sika Adhesive Remover-208.
